ABOUT
IWA
Meet the IWA team.
Invasive Weeds Agency comprises
a team of experienced and qualified
individuals with a common goal.
Invasive Weeds Agency Limited (IWA) is an Edinburgh based company specialising in invasive weed management and ecology. Founded in 2007, by father and son, Nigel and Graham Rudd, IWA has successfully eradicated Japanese knotweed, Giant hogweed, and Himalayan balsam on many sites across the UK including the new Forth Crossing project and several large supermarket developments. As one of the UK’s longest practising ecologists, Nigel Rudd’s experience has led IWA to great success and driven the company to pursue projects with real ecological benefits such as the Japanese knotweed and Rhododendron control for the Argyll Fisheries Trust in order to increase biodiversity and encourage brown trout to spawn in streams previously blocked by weeds.
Driven by our desire to offer our clients the best service possible, IWA conforms to the highest standards set by BASIS (the independent authority for the pesticide industry), we are qualified members of the BASIS Advanced Contractors Certification Scheme (BACCS) and we meet the Amenity Assured standard. Our BASIS qualified advisor and trainer, Graham Rudd, ensures IWA maintain these high standards while offering the opportunity to educate individuals and companies on invasive weed management as a commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
